Kenneth spoke on the motion urging the Central Government to fully implement the principles of 'Hong Kong people administering Hong Kong' and 'a high degree of autonomy' and for the SAR Government to address aspirations of the people participating in the 1 July march this year.

Kenneth used the recent downgrading of Hong Kong's credit rating by Moody's as an example to explain how Hong Kong's core values have been threatened in the past years. He concluded that Hong Kong and the Central Government must rebuild mutual trust for 'One Country, Two Systems' and Hong Kong itself to truly thrive.
